  * About The Author:

Ron Frankl - A long-time New Yorker who moved to North Carolina in 2006, Music was always the main thing in my life, at least until I met my amazing wife, Michele. I am also the author of seven biographies for teenaged and juvenile readers on such figures as Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and Bruce Springsteen, and a graduate of Haverford College. After 25 years of Manhattan living and a year in Queens, Michele and I moved to Hendersonville NC with our nine (yes, nine!) amazing cats. Our precious Maxine has moved on to her much-deserved tenth life (We miss you, Mugsy!), but the rest of us are loving life in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Please welcome our newest addition, Maggie Mae, our amazing mutt.

About The Book:

No words can adequately describe Duke Ellington's music. I am so grateful my parents introduced me to swing music at an early age. Here I am... this says it all! lol (yeah, yeah, yeah I played it slow!)

Warmest Regards,
LadyD
