In this three-dimensional edition of the first book in Hans de Beer’s best-selling series, Lars is swept away from the safety of his home at the North Pole and has an exciting adventure in the tropics. This pop-up book will delight children who meet Lars for the first time and enchant all his royal fans.

My Review:

Little Lars who is a little polar bear and his father who is a large polar bear are going on an adventure together. This will be their first hunting trip. Together they live in the North Pole where everything is covered with ice and snow. The two of them make a pile of snow for sleeping on like a bed. During the night, the ice begins to crack and a piece of ice breaks off. Little Lars is on it all by himself!

He clings to a bobbing barrel floating by. Then he meets Harry Hippo. Lars climbs on Harry’s back and soon meets friendly animals of the jungle! Marcus the Eagle gets a birds eye view of the edge of the sea and summons Samson the whale to help escort the polar bear friend out of the tropics and back onto the ocean. Soon Lars is reunited with his Father! I highly recommend this children's book to you. 5+ stars!

Warmest Regards,
~ LadyD
